Automatic Update

SiteBuilder enables you to configure automatic update of the SiteBuilder version. This function is called Automatic Update.

To configure autoupdate parameters

  1. Click Extra on the navigation pane.
  2. Click Autoupdate. The Autoupdate screen appears.

  3. Enter your login and password for FTP host, storing updated SiteBuilder components, in the Login and Password fields respectively.
  4. Enter the name of the FTP host, storing updated SiteBuilder components, in the Update host field.

    Note: All three fields must be filled in to proceed with automatic update operation.

  5. Click Next. The new screen appears, displayed on the following picture.

    On this screen you can select the SiteBuilder components to be updated for Users, creating sites in the SiteBuilder Wizard. The screen consists of the following columns:

  6. To replace an old component version with the newer one, select the corresponding check box in the Update column. If the replaced components are of the same version, select the check box in the Force update column.

    Note: If SiteBuilder cannot automatically identify the User's operating system, the OS list appears. Select an operating system manually from the OS list.

  7. Click Next.

    After all component versions are selected for further update operation, update script is created. This script is always named update.sh. You can execute this script through the command line interface. After the script is executed, component update takes place.

    The path to the update.sh file is displayed on the screen, appeared after you click Next. This screen is displayed on the following picture.
