Established as Abssys Consulting in 1996, Ogone initially offered banking and financial IT consultancy services. In 2006, Ogone works with over 6,000 traders in 25 countries. With over 80 banking connections, Ogone offers access to more than 25 local payment methods.
To configure the Ogone plug-in, please visit the Ogone website and sign in. After your Ogone account is set up, you will get your Merchant ID and password which you will need to configure the Ogone plug-in.
The Ogone payment system supports the following maintenance operations:
- Refund - a repayment on a credit card transaction, e. g. after the data capture deadline is past. This option needs to be requested at the Ogone support service. It is not available with all the acquirers.
- Authorization renewal - redoing an authorization for an authorized order that has expired.
- Manual entering of an authorization code - this feature allows a merchant to enter into the Ogone system a payment authorized through any other method (telephone, fax etc.) in order to process it with Ogone. This option needs to be requested at the Ogone support service.
- Partial maintenance operations - the option allows a merchant to perform data captures, authorization cancellation and refunds in several steps for a smaller amount than the original order sum. This option needs to be requested at the Ogone support service. It is not available with all the acquirers.
